Local Celebrities to Model Holiday Fashions
Enjoy a delicious lunch, good company, fun models and a sneak preview of holiday fashions!

Fair Housing of Marin and Old Republic Title invite members of the community to attend our annual RUNWAY MARIN fashion show and luncheon, on Friday, November 7, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The newly redecorated ballroom of Embassy Suites Hotel in San Rafael will provide a backdrop for a roomscape created by Fair Housing board member and noted Marin interior designer Kristi Sandford. An Accessories Boutique for shopping before and after lunch, champagne reception and raffle will create a festive atmosphere.

Making up the roster of corporate sponsors are Citibank, AT&T, Sterling Savings Bank, and The Mechanics Bank. Fall and holiday fashions from Marin boutiques -- Duarteau Boutique in San Rafael; Lindisima in Greenbrae; Dis & Dat, Grand Illusion, and Gene Hiller menswear in Sausalito; and The Mill Valley Hat Box -- will be shown. Hats from The Mill Valley Hat Box topped off the coveted 2007 MTV Video Music Awards gift bags.

Mistress of Ceremonies will be Heidi Kuhn, Founder of the internationally known nonprofit, Roots for Peace,.Ms. Kuhn was recently honored with a Bank of Marin Spirit of Marin Special Award for her work turning landmine fields into vineyards.

Volunteer models come from the Marin real estate community and community at large. Among the local celebrity models are radio personality and celebrated vocalist Noah Griffin, Supervisors Susan Adams, Judy Arnold and Charles McGlashan and Mario von Dongen, Publisher of the Marin Independent Journal.

Other notables include Marin County Deputy District Attorney Otis Bruce, Mollie Stone's Market CEO Mike Stone, San Rafael attorney John Alden, First Priority Financial President Jorge Ramirez plus Steve Vella and Ed Walters from Washington Mutual Bank in San Rafael.


Also modeling are Fair Housing of Marin’s Ana Del Bosque, Rod Potts of the Mill Valley Fire Department and Marin County Chief Deputy Probation Officer Mike Daly along with several of the Probation Department staff: Eva Bennett Monique de Souza, Tess Lopez, and Darnell Roary.

Models drawn from the real estate community include: President of the N. Chapter of CA Association of Mortgage Brokers Karen Walker-Tunao as well as Sylvie Zolezzi from Coldwell Banker, Michelle Barton from Frank Howard Allen Real Estate, Claludia Rosas Maximun from Melissa Bradley Real Estate, Kristen Palmer from All Marin Real Estate, and Eric Cutler from Avalar plus Courtney Fry and Courtney Coleman from Old Republic Title

Heading up the RUNWAY MARIN Committee are Old Republic Sales Team members Fariba Zolnasr (also a Fair Housing board member), Kirsten Calegari, Amanda Lavagetto, Deborah Powell and Arlene Scherber. Fair Housing board members Valrie Joy Williams and Debbie McGillis plus Ivonne van Buuren of the Marin County Probation Department round out the RUNWAY MARIN Committee.
